Our exterior jobs start with a full pressure wash, then the crew scrapes loose paint, caulks open joints and primes bare wood. Finish coats go on siding, trim, fascia, doors and window frames.

We paint walls, ceilings, trim and doors in occupied homes, one area at a time. The crew covers floors and furniture, patches and primes, and cleans up at the end of each day.

If the cabinet boxes are solid, paint costs far less than new cabinets. We clean and degrease, sand, prime and finish with cabinet-grade paint that stands up to moisture and daily use.

We paint wood, fiber cement, vinyl, aluminum and stucco siding, and each one gets the primer and paint made for it. The crew washes the siding, replaces failed caulk and spot-primes before the finish coats.

We paint window and door frames, baseboards, crown, wainscoting, fascia, soffits and porch railings. Trim gets sanded, caulked and primed where needed, then finished in semi-gloss or high-gloss.

Homes built before 1978 may have lead-based paint under the newer coats. Sanding or scraping that paint without precautions spreads lead dust.
Local housing
Old Town was Lewisville's first commercial center. Some of its buildings date to the 1860s, and the brick storefronts went up around the turn of the 20th century. The city incorporated on January 15, 1925.
The Old Town design guidelines (Appendix I of the city's Unified Development Code) document the styles found there: Italianate (about 1885–1900), Vernacular Commercial Storefront (1900–1920), Queen Anne (1880–1910), Folk Victorian (1870–1910), Prairie (1900–1920) and Craftsman (1905–1930). Each style has its own color logic. Queen Anne and Folk Victorian homes often carry more trim colors. Prairie and Craftsman houses use fewer, earthier ones.
Lewisville Lake changed the city. Dam construction began in 1948, the lake started filling in 1954, and the dam was finished in 1955 (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers). Homes in Lewisville built before 1978 may have lead paint, so we test before sanding.
Approvals and permits
Old Town. Old Town is divided into design districts: Center, Commercial/Multi-Family/Mixed Use, and Single-Family Residential. For new construction and remodels there, the city's Letter of Design Approval checklist asks for colored elevations and paint swatches that include a specific color from a historic palette. Source: Lewisville LDA checklist.
That checklist is written for new construction and remodels. Before changing the exterior colors of an Old Town building, check with Lewisville Planning.
HOA neighborhoods. Elsewhere in Lewisville, check whether your HOA reviews colors. If it does, submit chips and get written approval before work starts.
Heat, hail and timing
Homes near Lewisville Lake get full sun, wind and extra moisture. Lake-facing trim and siding fade faster and take on more dirt, so they need a good wash and spot-priming before paint.
Hail season in North Texas runs from about March through June. If a storm damaged your roof or siding, finish the repairs first and paint after.
Summer heat is the other limit. DFW averages 20 days a year at or above 100°F, and we start early on those days and follow the paint's data sheet for temperature and dew point.
Our process
We look at the house, note repairs, and give you a written estimate.
Our in-house color consultant helps you narrow choices. We don't file HOA or historic-district color paperwork, but we help you pick colors from the approved palettes. If you're in Old Town or an HOA, confirm what approval you need. Once it's in hand, we set the start date.
Wash, scrape, repair wood, prime bare spots and caulk. Homes built before 1978 get lead-safe work practices.
A project manager runs the crew and keeps you posted.
We walk the job with you and fix anything you point out before we call it done.
